After working together on several design and build projects around Australia, in 2025 Tanya and Dennis decided to form a trusted partnership built on quality, innovation, and a shared passion for design. Blending their expertise in interior and building design, business operations, and partnering with specialists, they focus on serving Australian clients directly - removing layers of complexity with one clear point of contact. Tanya - principal designer
Tanya is the creative heart of DY32. With over 15 years in Melbourne’s architectural and interior design scene, she’s successfully delivered the design and documentation for a broad variety of projects - from luxury homes and boutique hospitality spaces to niche healthcare fitouts. Her career began in high-end interior design with local Melbourne architects before expanding into architectural design - finding her niche in balancing both disciplines.
Tanya combines a problem-solving mindset with patient guidance at every stage. She is hands-on, detail-focused, and personally committed to each project Design Yard 32 undertakes. Tanya believes business success is built on leaving a lasting positive impression that drives client loyalty and authentic recommendations. When Tanya leads your project, you can relax knowing it’s guided by experience, care, and a genuine commitment to your vision. Her skill in navigating planning and building regulations, lifelong passion for architecture and design, and enthusiastic team-building approach are central to DY32’s success.
Dennis - business operations
Dennis is the engine room of DY32, drawing on his background in IT, web design, and marketing. His hands-on expertise in company setup, hardware and software ensures we are well equipped, protected, and able to provide our services efficiently. From setting up the business foundations to managing day-to-day operations, Dennis brings structure, strategy, and attention to detail to everything we do. He is a passionate business developer and also a co-founder of an innovative, award-winning NDIS-supported telco business in Australia.
Even with his extensive IT and marketing experience, Dennis starts his days on site at 6 a.m., coordinating trades, liaising with builders, and ensuring every detail is managed. In everyday operations, Dennis’s welcoming nature and structured approach make working with him seamless and enjoyable for both clients and the team.

Maria - beauty and laser specialist and clinic owner
Maria is our specialist in beauty and laser clinics. Her experience in organising compliant beauty businesses in Australia, combined with her passion for beauty fitouts, brought us together. Working with Maria allows us to design ergonomic, welcoming spaces while also providing clients with valuable business insights and equipment advice. Maria’s background goes beyond the beauty industry. She holds a master’s degree in Nursing and a PhD in medical research, and she also successfully runs her own laser clinics. We value Maria’s thoughtful, expert advice and her calm, confident approach, which make working with her a reassuring experience for clients.
Lara - pathology fitout adviser
Lara brings a rare combination of medical experience and design flair to her role as our senior pathology fitout adviser. Her medical career began as a nurse specialising in eye injuries, and her flair for art and design brought us together many years ago. She has worked in various pathology rooms across Melbourne, advising business owners on creating more ergonomic workspaces for rotating pathology staff. Leveraging her medical and design expertise, Lara gives honest advice and achieves functional spaces that improve staff efficiency and patient comfort. Today, she shares her expertise with our clients. We value Lara’s attention to detail and charismatic presence, which make every project smooth and successful for our clients.
Elena - graphic designer and signage consultant
Elena is our go-to talent for graphic and signage design, with over 15 years of experience. Her deep understanding of signage design, manufacturing, and installation techniques helps our clients save both time and money. With a degree in interior design and a background in exhibition design and digital marketing, Elena brings a diverse skill set to our team. We’re always amazed at how she blends her vibrant, energetic personality with the focus and precision needed to deliver outstanding results.
